Data may be transferred
(migrated) from one computer to another or or re-transferred from a back-up to
a newly installed system. This includes all files, documents, pictures, music
and emails. The amount of time taken to do this depends on the amount of
data to be be transferred.
Data recovery is a different issue and can be difficult if the hard disk drive containing
it is very badly damaged. Data recovery specialists sometimes have to be
employed to recover valuable files and this can be an expensive process.
